Bimetal — Steel Backed + Bronze Alloy
CuPb10Sn10 (SAE 792) / CuSn8 lead-free on low-carbon steel shell
The industry standard for heavy-duty planetary and main shaft applications. By sintering a layer of lead-bronze or lead-free copper alloy onto a rigid steel backing, we achieve an unmatched combination of high fatigue strength and excellent conformability. The steel shell maintains structural integrity under repeated thermal cycling, while the bronze lining provides a sacrificial bearing surface that protects the mating shaft.
Steel-Backed PTFE/POM Composite
Steel + Sintered porous bronze interlayer + PTFE/Fibre sliding surface
Ideal for oil pump bushings and thrust washers. The porous bronze interlayer combined with a PTFE/POM sliding layer provides ultra-low friction, preventing scoring during cold starts before hydrodynamic lubrication is fully established. Self-lubricating properties reduce parasitic drag and improve overall transmission efficiency.
Solid Cast Bronze & Sintered Bronze
Wrapped CuSn8 with diamond oil pockets / Cast C86300 with graphite plugs
Engineered for maximum impact resistance in manual gearboxes and off-highway transfer cases. The wrapped bronze option (JBM-090) features precision-machined diamond oil pockets for optimal fluid retention. For extreme loads, cast bronze with embedded graphite plugs (JBM-650) provides self-lubrication independent of the oil supply system.
