Metallic Self-lubricating Bearings

JBM-850S

Metal Backed Sintered Alloy Bearings with Solid Lubricants

JBM-850S product
PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Features & Benefits

The JBM-850S features a composite multi-layer structure that combines the strength of a steel back with the low-friction properties of a solid-lubricant-filled sintered alloy. The evenly dispersed graphite ensures consistent performance even during micro-range motions where oil films cannot form. A key advantage is its machinability; the bearing bore can be machined after installation (unlike typical coated bearings) to achieve precise tolerances.

MATERIAL COMPOSITION

Structure

JBM-850S structure
Layer Material Thickness Function
1 Sintered Bronze Alloy with Graphite Sintered Layer A special sintered copper-nickel/bronze alloy layer acting as the sliding surface. It contains uniformly dispersed solid lubricants (graphite) which release to the surface during wear to lower the friction coefficient. The porous structure is also impregnated with oil (>10% volume) to assist lubrication.
2 Steel Backing Structural Base Provides the mechanical strength and high load-carrying capacity of the bearing.
